Natural ways to enhance powders and deliver scent potency
InterCare cosmetic kaolins make excellent body powders and provide great fragrance delivery for scented powders. Our InterCare® 2K kaolin is also ideal for improved sebum absorption and a soft touch in body powders. Kaolin also offers great skin adhesion to give a longer powdery aesthetic while also increasing the matting potential in the powder.
Calcium silicates are also useful minerals to the cosmetics industry. They are excellent at delivering fragrance over time due to their high microporous structure. Calcium silicates are also effective for the creation of a dry delivery of liquid actives, and they make a great processing aid, creating free-flowing powders and increasing oil and water absorption.
With its soft, silky feel, InterCare® 11T talc* makes a preferred base for body and baby powders. Applied after bathing, InterCare 11T prevents chafing and gives a soft, soothing, cool sensation. InterCare® talcs are also excellent fragrance carriers for scented body powders. The surfaces of the talc platelets retain the perfume with a minimum loss of potency.
All TalcAsia cosmetic products are natural, high quality, chemically inert, and offer good skin tolerance. They are not treated with chemicals during processing. These attributes enable them to be used in cosmetic products that comply with cosmetic directive regulation (EC) n° 1223/2009.
InterCare® K grades for body powder applications are Cosmos and Ecocert approved with the exception of the sterilized (S) grades. Certificates of origin and additional documentation are available upon request
